Hello, I’m Joel Koziol, a Senior Mortgage Loan Originator at Ruoff Mortgage. With a decade of experience in the mortgage industry, my passion lies in helping people achieve their homeownership dreams—whether it's buying their first home, refinancing to secure a better rate, or leveraging their home’s equity to reach new financial goals.

I take pride in making the mortgage process as seamless and stress-free as possible. Communication is key, and I believe in over-informing rather than under-informing, ensuring my clients understand every step of the journey. I specialize in FHA, Conventional, Bank Statement programs, and First-Time Homebuyer options, always working to find the right loan solution for each unique situation.

Before joining the mortgage industry, I spent years as an analyst at Meijer, where I fine-tuned my ability to work with numbers to help people get what they need. Interestingly, while most wouldn’t expect it, part of my role as a loan officer includes shopping homeowners’ insurance carriers to ensure my clients get the best coverage.

What I love most about my career is the people I meet along the way. Ruoff Mortgage has provided a fantastic sense of community, and I’m grateful to be part of a team that truly values its clients and partners.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, boating, reading, and traveling. My greatest achievement is the life I’ve built with my wife and three incredible children, who inspire me daily. I also stay involved in my community through organizations like Homeless Prevention Partners, the Grand Haven & Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce, and the Women’s Council of Realtors – Michigan.
