Dave Ruoff entered the mortgage business with Colonial Mortgage Co. in 1959. He formed his own mortgage company in 1967. In 1968, a newly organized savings & loan appointed Dave as Chief Executive Officer to initiate and operate that company. After a bank merger in 1984, he started Dave Ruoff Mortgage Service now known as Ruoff Mortgage Company. From less than 500 sq. ft. in 1984, Ruoff moved to larger quarters 3 times before building and moving into its new office complex located at 1110 E. Dupont Road in November 1994.
From 2 employees in 1984, the company has grown to over 20 people with 3 separate divisions. Our service includes a complete closing department, in-house processing, and an insurance division that offers home, auto, and life.
Business has increased from 20 million dollars in 1984 to a high of 250 million in 2003. Ruoff Mortgage now has a satellite office in Warsaw serving Kosciusko and surrounding counties.
